Elizabeth Barona presented the results of her master’s research at McGill University on the contribution of soybean cultivation and pastures to recent deforestation in Brazil (see previous post for more information). Glenn Hyman  participated in an illustrated paper session (poster) on the role of roads in deforestation of the Peruvian Amazon.
