LINK Methodology among Top Picks 2012

2012 closed with good news for DAPA’s “Linking Farmers to Markets” team. The recently released LINK Methodology, a participatory guide to link smallholders to markets, was highlighted as a “report that should not be ignored” by Business Fight Poverty in the Editor’s Choice Top Picks 2012 in agri-business. Along with LINK, the Seas of Change workshop report on scaling inclusive agri-business, a document to which DAPA’s Senior Researcher Mark Lundy contributed as well, received this honorable mention.

The Link Methodology comprises four key tools which are designed to kick off, implement and conclude a participatory innovation process between different actors of the supply chain. These include a value chain map and business model canvas, a set of indicative new business model principles to evaluate and design business models, and an example prototype cycle.

For the continuous improvement of the Link methodology, we welcome your feedback on the application and handling of our approach.

For further information on the manual, please contact: Mark Lundy (m.lundy@cgiar.org)
