Since becoming available in June 2011, the on-line and stand-alone versions of the MarkSim GCM stochastic weather generator tool have been widely tested. A few problems were found, which have now been corrected.

This week in Rome the Global Soil Partnership met at FAO Headquarters. The partnership facilitates the participation of organizations and countries worldwide in efforts toward sustainable management of soil resources for food security and climate change adaptation and mitigation.  CIAT leads a key effort in this field in Africa — the Africa Soil Information Service (AfSIS).
