The impact of climate change on Coffee and Vegetables in Mesoamerica

CIAT researcher Peter Läderach presented at the Sustainable Food Lab Summit in Costa Rica the climate change impact analysis that the DAPA program is conducting on coffee and vegetables in Central America. The Sustainable Food Lab is a consortium of business, non-profit and public organizations working together to accelerate the shift towards sustainability.

Dr. Laderach opened key-note explaining threats of climate change on coffee suitability and describing the applied methodology on ongoing analysis of proposed CUP project in Mesoamerica. He continued showing first results of recently started analysis of climate change impacts on vegetable-supply chain of Guatemala.
