Vacancy: Cost Benefit Analysis Developer
Help us develop a Climate Smart Agriculture decision support platform!
Integration of Economic Analysis into a Climate Smart Agriculture (CSA) Practices Prioritization Tool
DEADLINE: Jan 23th, 2015
The CGIAR Research Program on Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security (CCAFS) and the World Bank have partnered to create a cutting edge Climate Smart Agriculture (CSA) prioritization framework that addresses the synergies and tradeoffs between agricultural practices in achieving food security, mitigation, and adaptation. Scaling out CSA practices requires tools for stakeholders to develop CSA investment portfolios. These tools must characterize CSA practices, prioritize locally appropriate actions, assess costs and benefits, and link with national and local planning mechanisms.
The Cost Benefit Analysis Developer will identify and integrate options for economic analyses into the prioritization tool. These analyses will link with assessments of tradeoffs between the goals of CSA and will be visualized in user friendly ways to engage decision makers. A beta version of the tool has already been created in excel, which will be transformed into a globally available tool by the CBA Developer.
